However, judging purely by what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox continues to plan to engage players with strong games on its key platform.

The duo of games you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's truly noteworthy.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Come mid-January, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that refreshes conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of terror and combat."
Compelling Indie Titles
Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service alone. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — rendering them ideal prospects to find a new audience on Game Pass.
