The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A representative for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.
The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
