FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in the Spanish league two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
