A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted for Inmate Homicide of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

Two men have been formally charged with murder following the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.

Watkins, 48 years old, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were taken as evidence.
